Lightforce installed an Enphase system with microinverters for us, which was ideal given the shading from our chimney and neighbouring trees. The sales rep who visited was excellent — very knowledgeable, answered all our questions, and provided a very detailed quote. The installation, however, was the disappointing part. I was expecting the job to take around three days, but it ended up taking the better part of a month. A design issue meant the system had to be reduced by one panel, and it often felt like the team had multiple installs running at once. I also had to follow up several times to get updates. That said, I’m very happy with the finished product. The system looks tidy on the roof and is securely mounted. We’ve had a couple of major storms since installation, and I was genuinely worried the panels might lift — but they held firm. Because the system uses microinverters, each panel runs independently, and the only hardware on the wall is a small, tidy box next to the switchboard. The app is simple and works well, and I’ve recently discovered that smart‑home platforms like Home Assistant can pull data from it, which is a bonus. In terms of performance, our highest power bill so far has been $90 going into winter, down from around $300. Part of that saving also comes from removing natural gas and installing a hot‑water heat pump, but solar has clearly made a big difference. With energy prices rising so quickly, installing solar feels like a no‑brainer. I was on the fence about giving 3 or 4 stars just purely on the install experience but will give 4 as the benefit outweighs the frustration

We reached a point where we needed to up our eco credentials as a B&B/Lodge. We've been pushing the eco-luxury angle, but we're relatively remote and not many players in the market would engage. Lightforce Solar did! From the first conversation there was great comms on how the process would work. There was no pressure at any point. The quote was well within tolerance of other prices we saw, for what we consider superior technology. We made changes to the quote at the point of choosing to move forward and there was a no hassles approach. It was simple and seamless. Given our remoteness there was risk on both sides, but by using online video tech it was possible for me to walk around the property describing what I wanted in terms of installation. I'd like to think I'm pretty savvy about the construction and potential of the house. We waited just very slightly longer than the proposed time, but, the dates actually worked to our advantage (end of season) and made it easy to get involved and support the team. The installation team were first class, they listened, and educated. We got, what we think is, the perfect build. It's early days and late autumn as I type. It's been live for less than one week and it's rained pretty much every day. But we've seen some real potential, with around 70% production compared to capacity (at times). The batteries are taking the load off our grid supply and allowing us to charge over night. Basically, it's been a first class experience from first call through to installation. I highly recommend this company, and we will be adding to our 'kit' and we'll be back in touch with them when we do.

Chose Lightforce over others as they listened to me and helped design a system perfect for me and my situation ... definitely not an off the shelf system that everyone gets. Most notable was the attention to details. Everything is very tidy which I appreciate. Total price very fair and in line with what I expected. Recommended to a friend who now has a solar system also thanks to Lightforce. His first comment to me after installation was how neat and tidy the installation was. As a builder he notices things like this. And remember, your installer will be your go to in case of a warranty claim so you want to feel comfortable with them. With Lightforce I do. Light Force Nelson provided the best quote(not the cheapest not the dearest ) that fitted my needs. The team were fantastic from first contact to the finished install. Great equipment through sigenergy and design of the install was brilliant and compact. The addition of a EV charger with the ability to charge from solar just puts a bigger smile on my face. The Install , Commissioning staff were excellent. Having purchased both Panels and later a Battery. The system performs well and has greatly reduced my power consumption from the Electricity supplier.
